I prefer the left one, not the one with the picture used on Ella in Berlin. Using the same picture on two (original) covers makes one of them seem somewhat "unofficial" to me. That has always made me think that the left one was the original one, and I still prefer it!
The distribution of Hello Dolly on CD is very poor in Holland and Belgium, I haven't seen it ANYwhere yet!
Hi guys, as a matter of fact I never had the chance to understand which was the actual original cover. It seems, but this is a guess, that the right one (the one that Verve has used for their reissue) was the first cover. Then, during 1965 or so, Verve started issuing the album with a new cover, but same catalog number, and back information. As you have seen the font of the writings is the same, except for the color... Anyway, the reel tape issue (from which I transferred Hello Dolly, when a CD reissue of this album was merely a dream) has the left cover...
