I am having exactly the same thoughts. We say "from postponing, forgetting will result", and secondly I was wondering what material could be included if it was not only previous released stuff... still, I keep hoping.
You have to consider that tehy want their reissues to make money, and the things that produce money are the Songbooks, and the Ella-Louis things. I think we're lucky enough that we saw the reissues of Ella Sings Broadway, Hello Love and so on... For the complete Ella In Hollywood, once I talked with the producer, and he told me that maybe someday they could issue some JATP box set of Ella, but a complete Hollywood stuff is not conteplated. By the way, you have to consider that many "Complete on Verve" were issued by Mosaic Records, so maybe in the next future we could get something (recently they've issued the first volume of the complete Basie on Verve"...

Jeez... not again! They have been postponing Shirley Horn´s release as well... and a few others!
My idea is that they will never issue volume 2..., and, by the way, what is the use of a 2 CD set with stuff that is present on other Cds?
It would have been more interesting a CD issue with new stuff, like never-released songs or alternate takes of some singles (there are many !!!).
